Our approach
What we own, what we don't, and how we credit
We have made every effort to credit and acknowledge everyone whose work appears on this site, and to use it only as its creators or rights holders allow. Where we could not trace an author, we say so. If we have missed someone, please let us know and we will put it right.
What belongs to Ayyappa Samaaj
- The writing on our guide pages (Sabarimala, Vratam, House Puja, Traditional Path, Virtual Q)
- Our volunteers' transliterations, typesetting and bhajan books
- Photos and videos of Samaaj events
- Our name, logo and website design
What we do not claim
- Traditional and scriptural texts, which belong to everyone
- Song lyrics and music, which stay with their writers, composers and labels
- Images, software, fonts and services made by others
- Facts, dates and temple information from official sources
- Traditional ancient or public-domain text
- With permission shared with the creator's consent
- Consulted used as a reference, not reproduced
- Being confirmed credit still being researched
Credits being confirmed. For a few items we are still tracing the original writer, composer, photographer or publisher. These are marked Being confirmed. We share them in good faith, free of charge, for non-commercial devotional and educational use only. We claim no ownership of them, and all rights stay with their owners. If you created any of them or hold rights in them, please contact us. Within 10 days of hearing from you, we will add your credit, or remove the item if you prefer.

Traditional songs and texts, typed and transliterated by our volunteers
