Shankabhishekam

Lord Ayyappa is bathed with sacred water poured from sanctified conches (shankhas), for the well-being of every devotee and family. Families can sponsor a shankha in their name.

Schedule: 2:00 PM – 8:00 PM

1. Ganapathi puja and sankalpam
2. Shankha puja — preparing and sanctifying the conches
3. Shankabhishekam to Lord Ayyappa
4. Alankaram and bhajans
5. Deeparadhana and Harivarasanam
6. Prasadam dinner

What to bring

• Traditional dress.
• Flowers or fruits, if you'd like to offer them.
• If you're sponsoring a shankha: your family's names, nakshatram and gothram for the sankalpam. Please arrive by 2:00 PM.
