Ayyappa Abhishekam (Uthiraphalguni)

Ayyappa Abhishekam every Uthiraphalguni Star Day

6:30 PM: Sankalpam & Abhishekam folllowed by Ashtottaram, Theertaham

Lord Ayyappa, Hariharasutha, was born under the Uthiram nakshatram, so the star is especially sacred to his devotees. Each month on Uthiram, we hold an abhishekam for Swami Ayyappa. He is bathed with milk, curd, honey, ghee, panchamritham, tender coconut water and sandal paste while Vedic mantras are chanted. Archana, alankaram and deeparadhana follow.

Devotees believe that taking part in the Uthiram abhishekam brings Ayyappa’s blessings of courage, discipline, good health and peace of mind. Join us with your family to offer prayers, sponsor the abhishekam, or simply watch in devotion.

Swamiye Saranam Ayyappa!
